Joliet, IL – The City of Joliet is announcing the closure of Essington Road at the CN Rail crossing from 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 10, until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14. This schedule is dependent on both weather and productivity.

This closure is necessary for the CN Railway Company to replace the grade crossing at this location.

A posted detour will utilize Renwick Road, Gaylord Road, and Division Street.

Motorists are advised to used caution while traveling in the area and find alternate routes during the road closure. Any questions should be directed to the Department of Public Works at 815-724-4200.
