JOLIET, Ill. - The City of Joliet is notifying residents and motorists that Royce Avenue will be closed between Cleveland Avenue and Ward Avenue beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, through approximately 8:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026.
The temporary road closure is necessary to allow the Canadian National Railway (CN) to replace the railroad grade crossing.
Due to limited impact on local traffic, a signed detour will not be provided. Advance notification signs have been installed in the area to alert motorists of the upcoming closure.
