Salary

Effective January 1, 2019

  • Starting Salary: $54,870

  • After One Year: $72,644

  • After Two Years: $88,133

  • After Twelve Years: $108,870

Qualifications

  • police academy21 to 35 years of age
    Minimum of 21 years of age and under 35 years of age at time of appointment.

  • No felony convictions

  • U.S. Citizen

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • High School Graduate or GED Equivalent

  • Residency
    Must live within the Joliet city limits within 18 months of hire.

  • Other Requirements
    All other requirements as set forth by the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners.
