Community Workshop #2

Thank you to everyone who shared their feedback in person and online about four Character Areas in the city. Character Areas are a way to categorize areas in the city with shared physical form, land use patterns, and infrastructure conditions. These areas reflect the underlying physical framework of Joliet today and provide a context for shaping future policies and investments.

The project team is now incorporating this feedback, along with data and analysis, into the draft comprehensive plan. You can see how community input has informed plan’s community priorities by viewing them here: We've Been Listening (PDF).

These priorities, along with the vision, goals, and objectives, will guide the development of the plan. You can explore the comprehensive plan goals by topic area here: Goals Board (PDF).
