Welcome to the City of Joliet’s Online Service Request system. You can use this tool to ask for City Hall related information or report non-emergency concerns such as overgrown grass violations, street light outages, potholes and more. Please be advised that all lodged service requests must be within the incorporated Joliet City limits in order for us to process and review your request.
All concerns and complaints submitted are reviewed by the Information Services personnel and forwarded to the appropriate City Department for response. Any concerns or complaints submitted after normal business hours will be processed the following business day. Please make note of your Service Request number for follow up purposes at the time you submit your request, or be able to provide the address location of the concern in order for us to be able to look it up. To follow up with your Service Request, contact the City Hall - Information Desk at 815-724-4000. City Hall hours of operation are: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (except on observed holidays).
All City Hall Inspectors and employees have 15 business days (Monday - Friday) to review your initial request. Resolution timelines will be determined during this initial review process. Please be advised that some resolution and review timelines may take longer due to the complexity/nature of the request or multi-departmental involvement. For best results when submitting a service request please provide contact information so that City may contact you if further information is needed to process your submitted service request. However, users do have the option of remaining anonymous at the time of submittal by checking the appropriate box on the service request form before final submission. Please be prepared to provide the exact location of the property address that is a concern, and only one address location per service request is permitted. If you are unsure of the address location please contact the City Hall Information Desk Staff for address location assistance during normal business hours at 815-724-4000.
PLEASE NOTE OUR ONLINE SERVICE REQUEST SYSTEM IS NOT MONITORED 24-HOURS A DAY, ON WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS. IF YOUR CONCERN REQUIRES EMERGENCY POLICE OR FIRE DEPARTMENT ASSISTANCE, DIAL 9-1-1. If immediate non-emergency Police or Fire assistance is needed during business/non-business hours, call the Joliet Police Departments non-emergency number at 815-726-2491. For water or sewer emergencies dial our 24-hour Public Utilities Emergency line at (815)724-4220.
Note: Once a Service Request has been submitted to the City of Joliet it cannot be deleted. Service Requests are considered public documents, and can be accessed and requested by the general public by submitting a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) form. The online FOIA request portal can be accessed by clicking here.
