Governor Pritzker recently announced a $900 million package of equity-driven community and business grantsintended to help those hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic and compounded by property damage and civil unrest.
Aldi: ALDI stores will open at 8:30am on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and they ask that this first hour is reserved for their most vulnerable shoppers, including senior citizens, expectant mothers, and those with underlying health conditions.
Dollar General: Senior shoppers are being given the first hour of operation each day. Store location hours may vary, so please check with your location.
Food 4 Less: Store hours 8:00am-8:00pm. Senior citizen shopping is designated for Tuesday/Friday 7:30 – 8 a.m.
Jewel-Osco: Senior shoppers are being given priority on from 7-9 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Mariano’s: The grocer has set aside two hours daily — 6 to 8 a.m. — for seniors and those with underlying health conditions.
Meijer: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 – 8 a.m.
Sam's Club: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-9 a.m.
Target: The first hour of shopping each Wednesday is reserved for the elderly and other vulnerable populations, such as those with compromised immune systems.
Tony’s Fresh Market: Senior priority shopping hours are in effect 7-9 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Walgreens: Senior priority shopping is every Tuesday from 8-9 a.m.
Walmart: Customers ages 60 and older can shop every Tuesday an hour before stores open. Walmart pharmacies and vision centers will also be open during this time.
