Permit Applications

Building Permit Submittal

Once you have completed the correct forms - email the application(s) to eplansadmin@joliet.gov.  Once received, we will manually create your project and an invitation will be sent via email to upload the remaining documents/drawings.

Permit Payment Information

 

Payment Options

Once your permit is approved and ready to be issued, you will receive an email notice from ProjectDox (DoNotReplyJOILP@avolvesoftware.com).

Please use one of the methods below to complete the payment process.

Option #1: By Phone (Credit/ Debit Card):

  • Call: 815-724-3830 (you will speak with a person)
  • Reference the permit number and address per the project.
  • Have the credit/debit card number ready

Option #2: By Mail (Checks)

Make checks out to: City of Joliet

Send checks to:
City of Joliet - Customer Services
150 W. Jefferson St.
Joliet, IL 60432

Please include a copy of the invoice with mailed payments.

Option #3: In-Person

Visit our Customer Services window in the main lobby of City Hall to complete the payment processing for your permit.  Please bring a copy of the invoice.

After The Payment

Once you have successfully paid for the permit, log into ProjectDox and complete the "Final Payment" task.   If you do not complete the task - the Building Department does not receive a notification that payment is made.
